Inform basement tenants to avoid using bathroom and sink until power restored.

In event of rain storm well must be emptied (@todo backup sump pump or backup power)

Turn off servers (need to avoid intermittent power restores)

Flood

Check

Storm well

Is there power to sump pump

Action

Turn off water main leading into house

if storm well is source of flood:

drop a sump pump and dump excess water to front lawn

Preventative Measures

install zigbee water sensors.

determine count

determine if one hub can cover the house

look into ways to use only one sensor for both sink and toilet. (run a towel or paper)

the water filture kit has a mechanical switch that cuts water lead upon getting wet. It’s specifically designed for the water leading into the filter unit but maybe there’s something similar for standard water lines.
